Forensic science is an exciting and increasingly popular subject and this course has been developed with employability in mind. You’ll study a broad range of topics from the areas of chemical, biological and forensic analysis. There is an emphasis on developing practical skills to ensure you’re ready for the workplace within a variety of scientific sectors. You’ll gain an insight into the techniques used to analyse crime scenes and forensic evidence, study supporting sciences such as cellular and molecular biology, organic, physical and analytical chemistry, plus psychology and the law in relation to crime. This course will allow you to obtain knowledge and practical skills in two key areas – forensic, and wider analytical science. Scientists are in demand by industry and by other professions due to their analytical and scientific thinking and accompanying transferable skills.
