Digital Video production is an exciting commercial growth area. Our Foundation Degree course in Audio and Visual production gives you the opportunity to learn and practice the skills they will need to be ‘commercially viable’ in the rapidly changing media industry. The programme focuses on television, film and digital video production, underpinned by the study of theoretical concepts and professional business practice. Utilizing our TV studio, our range of specialist camera equipment or our video editing suite facilities, you will be generating media products from concept through to delivering final productions. At the course’s core is your ‘Personal and Professional Development’ that enables you to direct your own learning, improving your skills in the areas you need to become the complete graduate in Audio Visual Production. This course has been designed in consultation with professional practitioners and industry partners. It includes work based learning and placements, which are supported by academic study. There are also opportunities for study tours, seminars and project linked professional visits. As part of our work-ready guarantee, the course offers opportunities for ‘live’ client work which; improves your professionalism and adds to your final CV and showreel for prospective employment. Employer input is continuously provided throughout the year by local, national and international companies and practitioners. We believe that students completing this programme will be equipped to work in a range of roles in the TV, audio visual production industry. Academic progression is available through the BA (Hons) Audio-Visual Production Top-up Degree.
