The HNC Level 4 in Construction Management will develop learners as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the Construction Management sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.
This course is will equip you with the knowledge and skills to operate with confidence in the climate of sustainability. Whether it is new build or retrofit the course will provide you with a thorough understanding of the issues, technical requirements and management principles required today and in the future.
In addition to the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the study, the Construction Management qualification gives students experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare them for further study or training. Therefore the qualification will give opportunities to widen access to further higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.
The Construction Management qualifications embed the development of key skills throughout the programme, those key employability skills are referred to as:
• Cognitive and problem-solving skills: critical thinking, approaching nonroutine problems by applying expert and creative solutions, use of systems and digital technology, generating and communicating ideas creatively.

• Business skills: awareness of types of companies, company formation, invoicing, calculating fees, business management;
The BTEC course has been developed around the needs of industry and in collaboration with employers, professionals, education tutors, tailoring to the learners that wish to advance further once completed.

English language requirements: No factor below 5.5. For those resident in the UK who have suitable work experience, a college English test is available to show competency in English.
