This programme has been developed and designed to offer a pathway through to the BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking.
The aim is to provide students with excellent knowledge and skills to enable them to operate immediately at a professional level in the Cyber Security and Networking sectors of commerce and industry, with particular emphasis on the application of a range of professional skills to meet and support the needs of this rapidly expanding sector. The course will equip students with the requisite skills and knowledge together with professional qualifications to operate efficiently and effectively in this highly skilled and growing area of IT.
The course timetable is structured effectively, so students have the opportunity to access their degree programme and also continue with part time jobs - as it is offered over two days per week. There is a strong emphasis not only on developing technical skills, but also on students own development and employability skills as well. All students will be required to gain work experience which is crucial to the development of a professional CV.
Successful students will achieve a FD in Cyber Security and Networking, which will enable them to continue with a further year of study to achieve a full honours degree, or leave and go straight into the workplace.
All members of the course team have extensive industrial/commercial experience or long experience of teaching in further/higher education.
