This course provides you with a thorough understanding of the historical range of English literature and the development of the language. To achieve this, we offer a wide range of core and optional modules, allowing you to explore areas of English language and literature which most interest you, as well as areas which you may never have encountered before. You will cover many different formats of media, including manuscript, print, digital, and graphic. Furthermore, you will have many opportunities to put your studies into practice, with writing and editing opportunities available through our student-led publications. In addition, we have strong links with the creative industries, though which you may explore bespoke work placements and volunteering opportunities.
