Geography is a dynamic and exciting subject, focusing on global issues such as climate change, social justice, poverty, water distribution, energy, biodiversity, pollution as well as the regional and local impacts of these drivers on us, our society and our culture. Our BSc Geography course at Staffordshire University covers a wide range of topics across the breadth of both physical and human geography including: geomorphology, urban worlds, natural hazards, people and places, rivers and coasts, biogeography and soils, globalisation and cities. As you move through our 3-year programme you can tailor your degree to your own interests accessing modules in: ecology, conservation, sociology, international politics and history. These topics are supported by practical development of work-ready skills such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), fieldwork, interviewing, surveying, data analysis, report writing and presentation.
Our graduates are highly-employable critical thinkers with a wider understanding of social, economic and environmental challenges facing us in the 21st Century.
