The School of East Asian Studies at Sheffield is well known for its excellent language training. We teach Japanese from scratch, so you don’t need previous experience. And you will be taught by native speakers in small groups. This intensive teaching is balanced with modules on Japan’s rich culture, its political influence, and its economy. You will spend your third year at one of our many partner universities in Japan.
