The BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering is a vocational course, highly relevant to industry. It is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to make a career as a mechanical engineer in the a wide range of industries. The degree is applications-based using industry related software, it includes laboratory-based investigations and case studies that will provide you with the specialist mechanical knowledge and broad engineering education to turn your qualification into a lifelong career. You will also undertake an engineering project, which will showcase your skills and knowledge in solving an industry-related problem to prospective employers. The BEng is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council and will provide you with the full academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
