The full-time programme delivers a solid grounding in the clinical sciences, integrated with 1000-1200 clinical hours of real patient interaction, whilst also developing your higher level skills in reflective practice and professional development.
The ESO has been established for over 40 years. It has its own Teaching Clinic in Maidstone, where students (under the close supervision of experienced tutors) carry out in excess of 20,000 treatments per year and provide an invaluable service to the local community. Students gain a broad range of experience working with specialists in addition to the general clinic: Sports Injury Clinic, Children and Baby's Clinic, Maternity Clinic, Women’s Health Clinic and the Diagnostic Ultrasound Clinic.
The school’s academic site at Boxley House is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with 16 acres of parkland offering an ideal learning environment where students are able to take full advantage of the surrounding countryside- the setting is simply stunning.
Maidstone has excellent road and rail links; London is less than an hour by train and France less than two. Eurostar terminals at Ebbsfleet and Ashford International stations make it quick and simple to reach mainland European and the Channel Tunnel is just a 25 minute car journey away.
The ESO is proud of its truly cosmopolitan character, with multiple nationalities, ages and backgrounds represented. A wide range of academic qualifications and experiential backgrounds are accepted for entry and every applicant is treated as an individual. All applicants are invited to interview as we recognise that academic ability alone is not what makes a good osteopath.
