This course focuses on the operation and management skills required for the global hospitality and tourism industry. You will benefit from industry insight via our guest lecture series, as well as real-life work examples from our industry experienced tutors to help you understand the complex, ever-changing and exciting world of hospitality and tourism. You will develop the practical skills required to work in the industry as well as the skills to market and manage a range of hospitality and tourism organisations effectively. As part of our work-ready guarantee, you will complete a 160-hour work placement which will help build on and support your expertise and future career aspirations. Strong links exist between the College and local hospitality and tourism related organisations which will give you the opportunity to work within and alongside current industry leaders throughout your degree. Previous graduates of this course have successfully achieved employment with numerous hospitality and tourism providers within the region. On successful completion of this course you may choose to progress onto our one-year BA (Hons) Tourism and Hospitality Management (Top-Up) degree.
